In 2007, Volunteer Maryland received funding from the Corporation for National and
Community Service to manage two AmeriCorps* VISTA projects:
- The Maryland Volunteer Center VISTA Project
AmeriCorps*VISTA members serve as project coordinators, outreach assistants, and more at volunteer

- The Intermediary Project
Volunteer Maryland will review and approve AmeriCorps*VISTA Sponsor agencies and VISTA placements
at up to 20 community-based organizations each year. The documents above will provide all the
information you need to assess the VISTA Sponsor opportunity for your organization.
