Volunteer Maryland Mission
Volunteer Maryland builds stronger, healthier
communities by developing volunteer programs that
meet critical needs in the areas of education, human
needs, public safety, homeland security, and the
environment.
In partnership with the Governor's Office and the
Corporation for National and Community Service, VM
offers one-year partnerships with nonprofits to
strengthen volunteer recruitment and management
systems in local communities across Maryland.

Congratulations Volunteer Maryland Graduates!

On August 8, Volunteer Maryland honored the 2006
AmeriCorps members and Service Site partners
with a day of celebration at
North Point State Park. Over the last year, 30 VM
AmeriCorps members worked with 27 diverse
community-based organizations to mobilize over 3,700
local volunteers.
